Wordless Wednesday / Harley Update

Harley is still very sore from her incident last week (read previous blog). Her smallest wounds are starting to heal slowly, but she has a very big open wound on one of her front legs, you can see the muscle through it, not a pretty sight! She's finished her prescription of painkillers, but is still on antibiotics. She's going in for an operation tomorrow to have the open wound stitched otherwise the vet said it would only heal at a rate of 2mm a day! It would of taken ages!

She's also having a small lump on the bottom of her foot removed, which she had before the incident, which will also be sent off for examination to make sure its nothing more than a binine lump.

Wordless Wednesday / Harley vs Cat

Harley has always had a strong prey drive, last night she finally got what she wanted, the chance to show a cat whose boss, on a walk she lunged for a cat, pulling her back the link on her harness unclipped and she broke out running full pelt after the cat, the cat went under a hedge harley skidded on her side across the concrete floor to under this bush which made the cat shoot out, the cat running towards us and harley both knocked us over, the cat then was lost for an escape route so turned into self defence mode and really went for harley , scratching biting e.t.c of course any cat would do this. Harley by this time was punctured up, cut, scratched, two nails totally smashed in half, still tryin got get this cat, but luckily we grabbed her in time and the cat jumped over the fence, only gettin minor scratches at most.

Harley has ripped up 3/4 pads over her feet, two smashed nails, various puncture wounds, scratches to her face and side and lastly a massive patch of skin is missing from where she skidded on the concrete. She is unable to move because she is to sore, just lying on the bed, shes going to the vets later, who are going to assess her from the car because it'll be to painful to walk.

Harley has learnt her lesson good and truly, cats are not toys!

New name for Harley?

First off, sorry for my lack of posts recently, nothing has come up worth blogging about! I do keep up the wordless Wednesday's though!

Basically, we have had Harley now about 1 or 2 months, settled in great and is becoming a firm friend with Tango, the problem is...

Harley .... the name Harley, when you read this you more than likely thought im on about two boy grey's, no no no! Harley is infact a girl! She came with this name from her racing name 'Playboy Harley', we kept it because we like the name Harley. However everybody classes her as a boy, even though she has a pink collar, pink tassle, purple harness, considerably smaller than most boy dogs and (this is a big and!!) has no boy 'parts'!!

Bless her we've thought about changing her name, she would get use to a new name quick, she's very alert and intelligent, we've had suggestions like Hayley, Carly, e.t.c.

None seem to fit her though, she is to us a Harley, maybe she will have to live out the rest of her life as a boy! lol

Harley & Tango's paws!

Had a few issues with Harley's eyes the past few days, she came back off a walk unable to open her eyes, they were very red and sore. We bathed the eyes and let her sleep overnight the next day she could open them but shut them quickly, as if she had a very bad sensitivity to light, again we bathed them and put them into bed whilst we went to work. Luckily when we came home, her eyes were pretty much back to normal, just a slight squint.
They are 100% back to normal now, we have no idea what triggered this, she was walked up near some fields, we can only think she either got dust in them, had an allergic reaction to something or who knows!! Poor Harley!

The monthly Hall Green RGT walk was today, which means Waseley Hills country park was awash with hounds and their owners!

They did the usual walking route up the hill, around the woods, and back round, it takes roughly 30-40 minutes, its just enough to tire you with the hills e.t.c.

They had their merchandise stall up today so we purchased Harley a new house collar, in the same style as Tango's.

We also got Harley microchipped whilst we were there which she didn't enjoy but soon forgot about it when she saw the sausages were being passed around!

Im really interested in a racing greyhounds past, researching their races, mother, father, siblings and any other connections. I was recently searching up on Tango's history (his seems to be easier to access Harley's is a little harder.)

Antrim classic was by far the greatest of the litter, he won numerous open races and was the runner up in the Irish Derby, he was Tango's double in looks. I found this photo of him on greyhound-data, he has the grey face and the orange eyes, just like Tango.

Unfortunately with more research I found that he has also passed away since, I couldn't find out how, but may he be resting well over the rainbow bridge after serving the sport so well.

Yes No Maybe was a big blue boy, he had 75 races and won around 15. There was not much on him, no photos but videos (which im posting at the end).

Sweaty Betty (what a name!!!) was a small blue bitch who had a mere 6 races, winning none! There is a video of her racing, but its more like a comedy sketch with the commentator shouting 'Sweaty Betty' over and over. Again no photos e.t.c.

Smarty Jones supposedly had no races, and nothing available about him, hopefully on somebodies sofa now!

Harley 'Playboy Harley'

She supposedly only had one registered sibling, 'Coolanga Chord', again a mere 6 races, which she won 1 of them, also a small blue bitch like Harley, again no photos but videos.

I find all of this very interesting, I love being able to see their family racing and comparing to how Tango & Harley ran themselves.

Sunday outing

Hey people, Tango here giving humans a break from doing all the blogging, today me and the servants went on a trip to 'Bradgate Park' in Leicestershire which is the heart of the National Forest.

There was loads and loads of people there even though it was really windy and cold, equally as many doggys aswell, we saw another greyhound called 'Kitty' she was from a ex racer charity too, we got all our leads muddled up which is only natural when you have butts to sniff!

This was the first outing in the new car which humans got for us so we had loads of room to lie down in, Harley is quite protective of her new ride and has become the role of "watch dog".

When we finally got there after Harley treading on me for the 5th or 6th time we jumped down and were ready for the off.

On the way round we noticed some strange looking creatures, the humans called them Deers, and said they didn't want to play with me or Harley :( They had big things coming off their heads, they looked so silly hehe.

We carried on abit further past a lake and smelt a few more doggy bums, when we got round the corner.. guess what LOADS of those 'deer things', Harley was pulling to get at them but failed to pull away.

Further on there was a cafe where the humans stopped for a rest, some other humans nearby where playing football, I think Harley wanted to join in, or maybe just chew the ball up, who knows.

I of course, on my best behavior just stood and watched everything go on without a fuss.

OMG rabbit, oh wait no, just a fluffy dog.

MMMMM anything for us???

After trying to scrounge some food (which failed) we headed back to the car, on the way we past a family who fussed us and said they had a Lurcher and explained to their son that Lurchers are a crossbreed that are related to greyhounds. We also heard one little boy shout "Wow, greyhounds! They ARE the fastest dogs on the earth!". Two other kids came over and stroked us saying we were 'cool dogs'.
We felt like celebrities!

Me & Harley went to visit the ducks on the stream on the way back, Harley tried to jump in which scared all of the ducks, luckily human pulled back just in time, naughty naughty!

I didn't find the ducks very interesting if im honest.

I was interested in the mini waterfall though, it splashed everywhere, it looked really cold though so I didnt fancy going in for a skinny dip!

Humans tried to get a photo of Harley for her 'Happy homings' page on the Hall Green RGT website, after around 3/4 blurry takes they finally got one that wasn't just a big blur.

Finally we got back to the car and I collapsed straight away, whilst Harley went back onto watch dog duties.

On the way home the humans made a stop at a shop called 'Pets at home'.

The shop had only been open a week, they went in to see if they sold the food we eat which is special pet greyhound stuff, they didn't though but they did come out with;

x.Squeaky pheasant toy (which I LOVE).

Im home now and everybody is asleep, in fact one of the humans is using me as a pillow!! The cheek, anyways I'll love you and leave you all.

Happy 1st Week Harley!

We've had Harley a week now, its gone super quick! Its like we have always had her, you can't tell any difference because she just sleeps in the kitchen all day, the big bed in their is now Tango & Harley's little snuggle place, we don't get to see Tango anymore!

If you read the previous blog, I mentioned that they were barking, growling e.t.c at night over the big bed, this happend again for another 2/3 nights, but Harley is a brave little hound and just ignored Tango's growls and walked right in and plonked herself down, which Tango pulled the funniest expression at, a face almost to say "Oh my days, you did not just do that Harley".

Finally Tango has had to surrender to Harley's bed sharing and they are always together now! We've even had the odd head resting on each other, which is super cute, but very hard to get a photo of. You can sometimes hear the odd 1 off bark from Tango, which Harley of course ignores him and tells him to shut up in dog body language!

Dog Show Result

Today me & my Mum went to the Perry Bar RGT Fun Dog Show, they had 2 rings for greyhound only classes (serious & novelty) and 2 for non-greyhounds (pedigree & crossbreed). They also had a small ring for fun agility, which I saw a cute whippet trying to get over a jump, it wasn't going to happen though!

... We won one 3rd place rosette! Harley came 3rd in greyhound not rehomed by Perry Barr. Honestly I think the judge was sick of seeing me and thought if I give her a rosette maybe she will stop entering! :P Tango didn't win any, but he does look abit of a patchwork greyhound at the moment with several shaved patches from his recent operation. Harley still has her stitches in but luckily you couldn't see them to much.

Next show: Great Greyhound Gathering at Nottingham Race Course, this will be the biggest show of the year, so look out Nottingham! :P

Harley's Home!

Today we fetched Harley to come back to her new forever home, bless her at the kennels she was nervous and overall just abit confused. On the ride home she settled down and just watched out the windows and sniffed tangos usual place.

We let them both have a play around the garden together but Harley was more interested in sniffing everything than messing about with Tango.

Now they are both indoors, Harley has taken a shine to the furry rug and Tango's on his usual sofa, earlier they had a bark at each other when they both raced upto me, it was mainly tango though, it'll take some time giving up his spots to Harley. Unfortunately Tango having to be muzzled to keep his jealousy under control has led to his operation wound bleeding a little, so we are abit wary of putting it back on because it will keep agitating it and making it sore. Tonight I think we wanted to muzzle them both, maybe we can do a custom job on tangos muzzle and make it fleecey around the nose band!

UPDATE: Since the earlier grumble at each other, there has been no more like it and both are snoozing happily away near the front window, Harley has taken a shine to the corner of the room, I dont think she realises there is a number of beds spread around the house for her.

UPDATE: All has been good, Harley is more playful and alot faster than Tango, so when they both had a play in the garden Tango didnt like her bounding into him but hes just jealous of her athletic ability! They have both been put to bed, no muzzles, two seperate beds been put in they have had a bark at each other once, mainly cause she is trying to get on Tango's bed and hes abit mardy about it. If it happens again I think I will have to break them up for tonight, wouldnt be fair on Harley her first night.

Doggy Clean Up

Today I decided to clean out the 'Doggy Cupboard'.

This is where the treats, brushes, bones e.t.c end up, we had got a hoard of treats starting to pile up, and with Harley coming it would only get worse with double the amount of things!

This is the 'dog box' which had turned into pile of mess;

Doesn't look much does it? Well in that pile there was exactly all this stuff;

1 pack of 2 bakers twist chews

2 raw hide pig ears

1 pack of pedigree rodeo chews

1 box of various biscuits

and various chew sticks

1 double sided brush

1 horse brush

1 short haired brush

1 toothpaste & toothbrush

1 primrose oil shampoo

2 Bones!

How did it all ever fit in that pile?!

Well now it is nice and neat and ive chucked away all the broken biscuits.

...

OH and of course when I started cleaning it out a certain 'ahem' needlenose appeared!!!!

Racing Past

I love looking at Greyhound's racing past, Tango's racing name was 'Orange Disorder' and Harley's is 'Playboy Harley'.

Ive struggled to find out alot about Tango's previous owners, only finding his UK owner who only raced him a few times before retiring him, I can't find any information on his Ireland owner.

However Harley's past is abit easier to track, she came from Ireland pretty much straight from being schooled, I looked up her trainer, and found a profile on him and found this paragraph of text:

" The dogs welfare under Simon always comes first and he has all the latest physio/exercise equipment to hand. He has 4 full-time staff and two part-time, plus the help of his parents Steven and Elaine. Any followers of greyhounds should keep an eye out for any dogs emerging from Weatheroak Kennels with "Playboy" in their name, as some of the better prospects bred and reared by Simon will carry this prefix."

'Playboy Harley', obviously one of the trainers 'better prospects' haha! Its so interesting looking at racing past, I found videos of Tango racing and put them into a compilation video which I'll put at the end of this blog.

I'd love to know everybody else's Grey's racing name's I love looking them up on greyhound-data.com. :)

So excited about getting Harley tomorrow!! Got all the stuff for her, her ID tag is the same as Tango's so they can't get jealous of better tags! We still have to buy her a food stand, waterproof/fleece coat and a martingale, but we buy all of these from the RGT we get her from so it helps them with every purchase.

Today we went on our Waseley Hill RGT walk with Tango, we went for half of the walk and then turned back and headed to the RGT's kennels to view bitches that needed a home.

We looked at Lady, Lucy, Zoe and Valerie, but all of them had a growl at poor Tango, we thought they were all going to have issues with him until Harley come back off her walk. She is a gorgeous blue colour wiv a spot of white in the exact same place as Tango.

She didnt growl she just walked nicely with him and in the paddock she didnt take any notice of him, which is better than growling!

We hope she will be perfect and settle well into our routine.

Yay

We've just had the call from the vets that the lump has been examined by the lab and he has got the all clear!

So glad, we lost a dog to a tuma before and its not nice because you see them gradually go downhill.

Im so happy to hear its nothing to worry about, I couldnt stand to lose him after having him for just 4 months.

Very excited for the Hall Green RGT walk this Sunday at Waseley Hills I'll get some photo's to post up for you to see.

Tango's Operation

Tango is back home from his op, he has been given what i call a lamp shade, to put round his neck, but whilst he is in our view and isn't scratching it, we have took it off so he will settle down and not pace about.

He doesn't seem very fazed, his usual whingy, cuddly self. He has got a shaved patch on his front leg and on the side of his neck which they used for blood samples, which come back all good for a dog of 5 years of age.

His op went without any glitches so thats good, the photo is of the wound on his nose from the op (still swollen) he still looks very adorable even with this little hiccup on his face. Im sure he will be getting LOADS of sympathy cuddles on sunday at the RGT walk!

We also might be viewing the greys looking for a home after the walk, we want a second one because Tango loves company of other greys, and we hope it will help him settle down instead of pacing about looking for attention all the time!

Give you an update soon on how he is getting on and a picture to show the wound looking less swollen e.t.c!

Tango's new friends

I went to visit one of my friends ive known quite a few years now, but don't see enough of, she had a border terrier called Millie who is seven. Her new partner has a Greyhound x Whippet called Blue. He is VERY handsome!!

I plan to walk Tango with Blue & Millie soon I think Tango will love running around in the field with Blue, he doesn't get to run and play with many dogs as most places haven't got secure fencing around.

The vets rang and said Tango has had his operation and is fine but abit wobbly from the anesthetic, I cant wait to see him when I get back from work later.

Tango update

I haven't posted a blog in a long time, mainly due to more hours at work, socializing and generally being my dogs servant.

In my last few blogs I have posted about how I had adopted a retired greyhound called Tango. We've had him now for 4 months and he is well and truly settled in.

Recently however he started growing a very small lump on his nose, it started as a very small white lump, similar to a wart, we left it but it started to increase is size and become red in colour. The vet says its most likely a cyst that has grew and will disappear but incase it is anything nastier we have decided to have it removed. His operation is tomorrow, he wont have to stop over night which is good, I don't think he would of settled or slept in a strange place very well.

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow when he is home, the vet says he will have a small shaved patch which couldn't of come at a worst time because its prime retired greyhound show season!

We've already won a 2nd place in a show, we were shortlined in our last but beaten by a very lovely labrador. Our next shows though are greyhound only, which will be fun, lets hope his short black nose hair will of grown back by then!!

Were going to a retired greyhound walk on Sunday which will be fun, we like to go regular so the RGT we got him from can see his progress. Since we have had him he has become more and more handsome every week. His coat is fabulous and shiny now, when it use to be dull and scruffy before.

Tango who I posted about in a few of my last post's is getting on fine, hes settled in now and found his spot on the sofa, we took him to the Waseley Hill's country park, where all the retired greyhounds from local tracks meet up, there was 50+ greyhounds, it was amazing!! I loved it I'd go every month if I had the bottle to

drive up there, I might try it one day! The motorway is a scary place though for a little newb like me :)

they are the most GORGEOUS amber/orange colour, they are bloody amazing, I want them for myself!!!!

As soon as I walked him yesterday with my Mum & her partner, me and Mum were in Love with him straight away. Hes so gentle, he isn't bothered by anyone or anything, I think he will settle very well, because hes so laid back.

Well, not posted for a while, I dont know why! Lost the urge to write on blogger, but I feel abit more motivated to write now.

Nothin that excitin or crap been going off, here ya go:

Were getting a dog :D Retired greyhound to be specific, they are such graceful, docile dogs, they are perfect. Everybody has moaned sayin they are to skinny, but hey they are just jealous they dont have such a toned body haha! :P Were going tomorrow (10/4/09) to meet them and hopefully pick one out to be our forever pet :)
Been spending more time with my Mum, cooking dinner e,t,c. Enjoyed it, althought im a very independent person I hate it when I cant have time to myself, luckily shes a 9-5 worked so I get time in the day If im not working.
Started walking, there is a lake near me, quite big, but not the biggest ive seen, I've walked around that twice in a week, will go on Sunday probably, need to keep it up, I want to be more toned and healthy for my own self's sake.

My mum went on holiday to Tenerife about a week ago, she brought me back a nice bag, and a Yves Saint Laurent Lip gloss, but it has a twice, litrally, its called 'Lip twins' in number 6. You pull the top and a small lip brush comes out, and then you twist the top and you get a pink colour twist again and you get a more redder colour, I've not used it yet, im scared of ruining it and making it look horrible! I will though! one day.

Also I'm still OTT on the dream satin foundation, I love it so much, and im so happy its a drugstore brand, I would still love to try mac's studio sculpt though, but for now Dream Satin all the way!

I tried some no.7 Star Perfect compact foundation the other week, I got it in '20 Blonde'. (I'm not blonde lol!) bu im quite fair skinned and this seemed light, It was however a tiny bit to orange, but nothing drastic that abit of lighter powder couldnt fix, don't know what to say on it really, I havent used it enough to comment on its staying power, I didnt think it gave me enough coverage, but then again I need to use it abit more thoroughly before I judge it as mediocre.

Just a note aswell, I noticed people raving about the 101 lippaint by barry M, I saw this on lollipop26's blog, who I follow religously! I brought this before I read what she had put about it, and I find it great for nuding lip colours out, but I darent wear it by itself, because I find it goes abit, well, cakey looking, it looks ded pasty and I find it hard to settle, I do use it with clear lipgloss though and it looks fab like that.

For once everything I brought today I love, I usually have the odd regret, like the eyeshadow I know i'll never use or the bottle of toner which I dont need and wasted my money on.

Today however, I love everything! Okay, I didnt NEED the new foundation, but I'm so glad I brought it!

I brought the new 'Maybelliene Dream Satin' foundation, the one you see advertised with a golf ball, I used their mousse foundation when I was at secondary school and I thought it was amazing, but when I think back it was horrendous. Stayed on for an hour before fading away.

This however, when I applied it when I got back from shopping, made my skin look fabulous! I was so impressed with it, I got it in Ivory because every other colour was far to orange for me. I just need to try it out at college tomorrow, to see if it lasts well through the day. Im abit skeptical of how long it will last because of their other foundations never really lasting well on me. However I will give this one a chance, and pair it up with my MSF in redhead and bits & bobs!

I also brought 2 tops from New look, one was in the sale for £8, its got 3 different shades of blue on it in like a 3 large bold stripes, I like to stand out anything bold means I will probably like it! I tried it on at home and its really tight around the bottom, luckily cause of my height it kinda just sits on my ass! I love my ass, so its all good!! (lol)

The other one was a oversized vest in a bright turquoise (yet again, bold!) Will be amazing with my coral vest or a plain black vest underneath, mm I love clothes! I want to be a fashion designer but Its such a hard career to follow.

I also got 2 face mask's from superdrug, their own brand, 'Raspberry illuminating glow mask', hopefully it'll smell of raspberries and be all yummy. i got 3 cans of vimto for 1 quid lol I also got a greggs sausage roll but it was cold so I've put it in the fridge to save for later.

He was abandoned on a street int he middle of nowhere, my Dad picked him off the street and took him home, his gf thought he was 3 months old, but he was 6months + but so underfed he was tiny.

He has been vets and getting treated for cat flu, e.t.c. So hes in isolation in a room to himself atm!

Hes such a lovely lil kitty I dunno how anyone could abandon an animal, and if people are going to...at least take them to a animal shelter!

He looks like a kitten visually cos he's small and he has beautiful eyes, hes gorgeous, I haven't touched him or played with him yet, I dont want to transfer cat flu from him to any of the other 1 million cats that use this house.

He isn't litter trained... Only problem because you have to do that from a very young age, lots of hard time consuming work for someone!

He's called Lucky because hes very lucky to be alive. :) I'll get a pic asap.

So yeah, a week or two ago, I went into boots and they had a clearance section, I checked out the stuff on it, and they had some no.7 Tinted tanning lotion. £5.65 instead of £11.50.

I thought I'd give it ago, I got the light/medium colour.

The packaging and the bottle is really nice, as son as you put it on you have a really lovely glow to your skin! I;ve been using it about every 3 days since I've got it, and I;ve got a really well built up tan now! I LOVE it, so much better than any Garnier, etc, tanning products. Its worth the original price to, so £5.65 makes it even better. I can't stop using it I love it. The real tan develops in 1-2 hours, but you can defo see the tan more after you have slept the next morning.

I went back and brought another, but they had ran out of light/medium, so i had to get a medium/dark, I'll see how this colour comes out, I may just stick to once a week with it being darker, I dont want to change my race exactly :)

Defo going to buy the new Dream Satin Foundation, heard good reviews on it and its so cheap :)

New Mac Purchases & Sunday Market

I'll start off with my new MAC purchases :)

First off I got two new eyeshadows,

1. Charcoal Brown

2. Black Tied

I really like both these colours, espially the charcoal brown, its a really nice light matte brown, perfect for a new look im trying to perfect! The black tied wouldnt of been my first choice but they didnt have any carbon in, so I got black tied which will be great for nights out with the silver sparkle in them.

I also got a new lustre lipstick, this is in the colour "Ent Twined" I've looked on their website and you can't even buy it on the website anymore, im guessing its a colour that Isn't run anymore, but its a really nice light browny cream colour, its so nice.

Thats all the MAC stuff I brought.

I went to sunday market today and I brought a big hello kitty plaque for my bedroom door XD Also these hot chocolate things that are like 2 quid each in tesco's these were 2 for £1, (oh how I love markets). I also got a box of Fruit Salad sweets, not had them in ages!

Hmm what else did I buy, oh a jacket potato lol some make up and other things which I can't remember!

You can get such bargains at Sunday markets, I love them :D

Make-Up & New Shoot

Hey fellow bloggers,

I went over to my friends house the other night, shes a trainee make up artist, shes really good. We had an urge to get a pot noodle each, but the local shops were all closed so we drove to the nearest tesco. (We nearly died in the process because the fog was so thick).

Tesco was having a £1.50 make-up clearance, loads of stuff was only £1.50, alot of it was damaged or used, but there was untouched stuff that would originally of been defo over a fiver.

I got myself 3 things;

Maybelline Liquid Stay cream eyeshadow

I got this cream eyeshadow because there was a look I saw Angelina Jolie wearing, and to get it I needed something that looked creamy, this was the perfect colour match to. However I

wouldn't recommend it you have to wipe off at least 95% of what is on the brush and put thin layers on, 1 by 1, when you put on a thick layer in one go, you just get a big clump or line appear, I dont get on with cream eyeshadow's, so I shouldn't of brought it real

ly but it was only £1.50 so it was worth it.

L'Oreal Fallible Concealer

This is suppose to stop dark circles and imperfections appearing on your face when you are using it, I quite like this concealer, im not sure that it really covers very well, it probably is buildable on the coverage though, I like its packaging, very neat. Very good buy for £1.50.

Maybelline Watershine Gloss

Omg, this is the best £1.50 on make up I've ever spent! I love it, I got in 'Cafe Latte 509'. Its a really nice brown colour, It's quite sheer but does add a tint of colour aswell. It stays well too, the occasional top up and its fine, I cant believe I got it for £1.50, I'm tempted to go back and see if they have still got the clearance on, because I know they had more of these Lipglosses there, probably haven't though :/

Also this week I got a new lipstick, Clarins 'Joli Rouge Long-Wearing Moisturizing Lipstick' in '705' its like a purple but toned down, almost like a berry colour, It has slight pink/urple tones in it, with abit of red, Its beautiful, and its so moisturizing and soft.

I also brought the mac eyeshadow tempting, such a lovely colour, for people who dont know tempting is a brown/gold colour, its amazing,.

Going to cut this short now because I've got to get ready to go to the hairdressers ^_^

Having my red removed again and lightened, I will be blonde one day!!

I spent all my money!!!!!!

I brought some new shoes, £25 from New Look, snakeskin, black, very high heeled and very strappy, I really love love love them, hard to walk in, but they are beautiful, mmmmmm.

I also brought a lovely top, £20, black, pink & grey, so very bold & clashy, very me :D

I couldnt find a photo of it on their website to show you, Ill try and get one of me wearing it haha.

I also brought another Barry M nail varnish, :D the blue one I talked about in my last spending blog, 291 Cobalt blue, not tried it yet, it Looks lovely though!

I also brought wiv a £5 off voucher a No7 nail varnish, 38 Peach Glaze, a lovely peach/coral colour, so very on trend colour, Im going to put it on after I've finished this blog.

I also got.... Rimmel's new eyeliner, Exaggerate waterproof eye definer, in Black, which comes with a smudger on the other end to help give the smokey eye look, Cant wait to try it i LOVE smokey eyes, my favorite.

I also brought a new make up brush, I've had my eye on this for a while, Ruby & Millie Stipple Face Brush, basically like Mac's duo fibre brush, but £10 cheaper.

I also got some tights I had to buy them in Large/ XLarge because, im 5ft 9 or over, other sizes dont fit my long lanky legs!

I think that is everything, o wait no, I got a bracelet from claires accessories for my mum for mother's day, its not her only present, im going to buy her several small things and put them all together, already got her card, a cute me to you one.

She isnt a soppy mum so I have to be careful what kind of card I get her!

Im gona paint my nails now :D

I love raspberry, I also match grey & brown together, It look kinda of antique-ish or maybe tribal-ish!

I may buy the bright blue one tomorrow, I loved it and couldnt make a decision between the blue & raspberry, so ill get both. I cant paint my nails for crap! Im rubbish, I cant have false nails either because they are a health and safety violation at work.... boring!

Im watching Horne & Cordon atm, funny! I love both of the guys in it, James Cordon is weirdly attractive, dont you think?!

Crufts

Crufts.

So yeah, I went to crufts, from around like 11.30am-9pm.

I really enjoyed seeing all the different breeds, I'd love to show dogs, I'm determined to get a dog, I dont mind what breed, I just love dogs for dogs.

The judging of the working & pastoral groups was long, and got abit tedious, I thought the Old english sheepdog that won the pastoral, was abit of a typical winner. However was pleasantly surprised at the Boxer winning the Working group.

The best in show however, Im not sure I would of picked the Sealyham terrier, It was a lovely dog, but I thought the Standard poodle, Pharaoh hound or Papilon showed lovely and would of been more worthy winners. The judge specialized in terriers, and lived in America, so alot of people are going criticize him for picking a breed type that he specialized in and the breeder being American herself.

Im not that fussed really, I cant wait for next year, Im so going lol!

Crufts Today!

Im going crufts today, for people who dont know what crufts is, Its one of the biggest dog shows in the world, at the NEC in Birmingham, I'm seeing the best in show aswell which Ive wanted to do for years! So excited.

LOADS OF DOGGYS = GOOD DAY OUT!

I'm a dog lover! Although I dont have any myself, I dont live in the right situation, with work/college e.t.c

Im not sure what to wear, I dont wanna go OTT, its just a dog show, but I wanna look good. Jeans and something I suspect. I want to wear some leggings, but I dont have anything long enough to be appropriate for a dog show.

I went out last night, first time in a while cos Ive been working alot of Saturdays & Sundays. I didnt drink, I was driving, which made the night pretty dull for a sober person. I just like going out so I can do make up & put outfits together lol.

I best start getting ready then, got sandwiches to make, Oh darn forgot to put my eye gel on last night, just remembered!

I got my hair done today, its not exactly how I wanted it, but then again it never is when you go hairdressers. I wanted it lighter & choppier.

I couldnt get it lighter though in 1 go, so im rebooked in on the 20th March to get it lightened again. Ive had a block fringe put in, I dont think these suit me so Im not sure about it yet, Ill see how i look when ive got all my make up on for college.

Ive cut it alot shorter too.

'Look' fashion magazine had an article about cheap buys, I saw one which was a Miss Sporty foundation which people use as a base, Ive always wanted a base under my foundation so I litrally feel like I have a back-up!

Its called ' Miss Sporty Light Energy' Foundation in 01 Light. It says it "light reflecting pearls to look luminous, a cocktail of vitamins & minerals to maximize energizing effect".

Ive not used it yet, when I have ill let you know how it is, and if any, the effect it gave me. I will use it under my YSL foundation. I cant wait till I've used that up so I have a reason to buy MAC's studio sculpt foundation.

The miss sporty foundation was only £2.89. Bargain if it gives me a good light reflecting glow!
There is 30ml in each tube, would like more, feels like there isnt much but for the price I wouldnt mind purchasing more.

Funerals...

Everything about them is depressing, for my funeral I want beaty uplifting music not sad slow ones that make you cry as soon as you hear them.

I want everyone to dress in really cool clothes and have a big party and everyone get wasted and have a laugh.

This has come to light because it was my grandads funeral today, It was a really beautiful service and I thought it was a really nice gathering after, but I dont want my funeral like it, I want it to be happy not sad. :) :(

Im SO bad at saving money, but now I have to.

Im getting my hair done and its gonna cost a bomb because im having colour removed and then put back on, a normal colour is 55ish quid sooo a a colour and colour removal and a cut .... dont want to think lol.

It should be worth it though, fed up of red hair now been it forever.

Car Accident

Today, when me and my mum was going to Asda, A fiesta went into the back of us! He didnt see the lights go on red in time and went right into the back of us. the police came and everything, was like something off tv, lights camera action (I think thats a police programme lol!)

It was a pretty good shun into the back, but luckily No-one was injured, im sure im getting a stiff neck though now :/

Our BMW came out alright, a few scratches nothing drastic, the boys fiesta though wouldnt start, I hope he gets it sorted! bless he was only my age at least (18).

Im well paranoid now im going to g into the back of someone!! OR someone going into the back of me!!

This is just a blog on make that I have purchased recently.

Mainly cosmetics for my lips, I've never really put much thought into my lips compared to my foundation ,eyeshadow e.t.c

First I brought

Nivea Visage Young - 'Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser'

This supposedly adapts to your skin tone for an even radiant complexion, Ive used it 2/3 times, I cant say my skin looked any better, but I do feel better walking around without make up and just tinted moisturiser now, than just plain moisturiser, I dont feel as bare!

Collection 2000 Brilliant Shimmer Lip Gloss in Watch Me, as you can see, quite sheer. Although when I use it on my lips it doesnt look as sheer as it does in that swatch. Its very shimmery and shiny, I really like it and its a good price!

Rimmer Lipstick in Birthday Suit - suppose to be a nude shade but has a hint of browns/coral in it, I didnt like this at first, im warming upto it now though. It comes out more as a brown than a nude skin colour.

Barry M Lip Paint in 101 - This is a very nude skin shade, I love the colour but Im not sure it works with my skin tone/hair colour. It also looks abit cakey on my lips, I have to blend it in alot.

I also brought a NYC liquid lip shine in clear gloss, heard alot about these lipglosses, and I needed a new clear so I thought I would give NYC ago.

I also got Barry M Nail Paint in grey, I saw a review on macs hello kitty grey nail varnish and loved it but im defo not prepared to pay macs prices for nail varnish. So I thought id try Barry M's heard Mixed reviews on there nail varnishes. Will let you know.

Today I went shopping with my cousin Hannah, we dont go out much together so its nice when we finally get chance to. I spent most of my money, I have £15 left! (BTW, I found the '£' button on my american macbook!!)

I brought a 'Oversized Vest' in grey, I really like it, defo my style, nice with tights or jeans.

Some shoes from dorothy perkins, they were £15 in the sale. I love them, they are a size 7, probs would of been abit better in an 8 though.

I also brought a rimmel lipstick in 'Birthday Suit' not sure on it tbh, some dry roasted kp nuts, yoghurt biscuits which are YUMMY, i love them. 49p instead of 1.20 BARGAIN MATE.

I got some nicky clarke straightening spray, not to sure if it will do any difference lol. Oh well makes me feel better about myself if im not damagin my hair as much.

Just got back from work, 6-10pm, got it again tomorrow at 12-5.

Its of me and one of my seven cats.

Shes called Misty, shes a very beautiful cat but also very evil, well to me she is. To other people shes lovely! She has an OCD if you put anything on the floor, wether it be a plastic bag, piece of paper, suitcase, e.t.c. she HAS to sit on it, she loves it, she has to sit on what ever is on the floor, same with boxes she has to get on top of the box or in it. Bless!

Yay for Half term!

A week off, really needed it because I have got more hours this week & next because a girl is having a week off.

I've got £50 to spend! Clothes or Make up or shoes or save!?!

I must try and save it, I know I wont especially cause im already planning to go town for a spend up.

I brought a new lipgloss the other day. Collection 2000 Brilliant Shine lip gloss in Watch Me, Its a brown with a lovely shimmer to it. I really like it, high street brands do produce good items. I might buy a tinted moisturizer, because after Ive cleansed and toned If im going out, but dont want a full make up look, a tinted moisturizer would be really helpful.

Im watching antiques roadshow, I wish i had a antique worth loads, imagine all the shopping I could get :D

Im buzzing for hello kitty mac products, I cant wait, Ive already been on the american website looking at them, I think i may defo get a lipstick or lipgloss. :D

I looked at the KAthy Van Zeeland bags.... there was not 1 there I would of considered purchasing, rubbish was really disapointed because usually there is loads i LOVE. Looks like ill have to get one from QVC website lol!

This has to be a short blog, I'm off to work in about 10 minutes! I work at subway btw =] Its wicked (H).

Today i brought a 16.99 top from River Island with a cheetah on the front, I also brought some 2 quid earrings in the sale at topshop & a baggy hat from topshop for 8quid :)

I got my avon stuff through the post, I order such random stuff when im drunk :D

Tomorrow If I'm not working, im going Derby, if I am working I might go bullring on the Sunday.

I brought dans dvds that he wanted for valentines day, 30quid, 30QUID for dvds tut.

Im going to check out some kathy van zeeland bags there around 80quid, but hey its valentines day tomorrow on Saturday *hint**hint* ;)

Im also going to look for somethin nice in the sales. Im also going to try and stay away from the make up aisles Ive already decided on the next foundation im buying, Mac Studio Scult around 22pounds I think.

I read a review tht its better than the YSL (which is around 29pounds) which i currently use.

Im going to review the YSL products I brought later on, When ive got use to them more.

Theres so much fuss about the touche eclat, well I think... well you will have to wait for my review!

Today I had my fashion photoshoot with a model called Kirsty. She was very nice, fun & easy to get along with, I felt as ease with her straight away. She ended up in Kings Bromley

first, I thought she wasnt going to make it ahh!

She found her way eventually though =]

She changed into two different dresses, and then she changed into some pvc & leather for that rock chick look!

My friend Lauren did the make up, a brown smokey eye look. I liked it, I want it myself lol!

My first fashion studio photo shoot tomorrow (I'm the photographer BTW!)

Ive got a model coming in, who for once, isn't one of my best buds, I'm using a real model! ha ha.

I'm excited about the whole meeting her and getting to know her and what style she wears well e.t.c.

I'm trying to get into the fashion industry so most of my effort will be what her overall style looks like.

However I need some really decent photos for my portfolio, which has to be completed soon.

I'm thinking of going for a high fashion look, one where the model is on 1 leg and pulling all kinds of wacky poses. I'm SO looking forward to it, Ill be so mad if the studio cancel on me (which they have done in the past >:/)

Ive got a trainee make up artist coming in to do the models make up to, she's like my best friend but shes really good at make up.

Ill post some of my final photos up from the shoot when I've finished editing them.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Minerals

I brought this mineral foundation because nowadays, everything is mineral! I decided to give it ago,

here's my review on it.

First off, the brush... pretty hopeless if I'm

honest, its so small and the bristles are so compact that it doesn't give you a good application and you get a build of the

product in one area as your trying to spread it. However I do think the small brush would be good for on-the-go touch ups.

I like the packaging, but as the same with other mineral products, you are likely to spill some products as you open/close it.

I brought it in 001 Ivory, I'm quite olive toned really, but I find that anything other than Ivory, become's orange on me.

I personally wouldn't use this as a foundation by itself, it doesn't give me enough cover and I don't like the final colour it gives my skin, It doesn't seem to tone out my face colour.

However for just a finish powder, this could

be what your looking for, unless your pale, because I do think this is for more tanned skin colours, rather than delicate pales.

I think its around 5-7pounds, which is

not to badly priced for a satisfactory powder. However I'm not going to be purchasing it again.

Natural Collection Loose Powder/ Pressed Powder

I'm a sucker for a bargain, and at 1.99, I couldn't resist trying these two products. I have never used these as foundations, in fact the products themselves tell you they are not intended as foundations,

but to put over your favorite foundation.

The looser powder is neutral translucent, the pressed is just neutral.

Ive used most of my pressed powder, because its very light, I use it over most of my foundation's to take away harsh orange-ness! I find it gives my skin a good matt looking finish, It isn't good on coverage but it helps my skin look more even.

Ive not used the loose powder much, but I believe it does the exact same as the pressed one, maybe abit more translucent.

I think for 1.99 this powder is a good bargain, don't buy it however if you want a 100% perfect make up artist complexion.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish - Redhead

I've been watching vlog's on mineralize skinfinish's. I was so excited when I saw the blonde,redhead & brunette skinfinish's out. I immediately brought a redhead version. I'm not naturally redhead, I dye my hair a dark red, I should buy the brunette one really, that's my natural colour. However I preferred the redhead colour's.

The packaging is typical mac, the well built black round compact.

I don't have to use hardly any to get a good amount on my face, one swipe over the product, two if I really want to shimmer.

I apply like a normal blush/highlight, on my cheekbones. I haven't used it to much yet, so I cant give a definite response on it yet, but I find it gives a very good shimmer/highlight on the cheeks. I intend to replace my normal blusher with it for the time being.

I would recommend it if your after a shimmering highlight to make your cheeks glow. It defo gives you that. Its around 19pound minus some VAT.

Because you don't need that much on your brush, its defo a good price for what you get, mac say that you can use the skin finish all over your face, I really wouldn't recommend that unless you want a really really shimmery effect, I just don't think its a good look, to look abit like you have rubbed glitter all over your face!

They are all the powders I have right now, I'm thinking of purchasing mac's mineralize loose powder, however since the rimmel one I've been put off loose powder foundations, I may just stick to my loose powders for finishing off only.

My First Blog!

I've decided to start blogging.... I'm honestly not to sure why, I just feel that I want to express my opinion of things. Im sure most of my blogs will be random.

I'm going to try and write a blog on things I buy and what I think of them, I'm rubbish at saving my money, so if I write it down maybe it will look to me, that I'm spending to much and will hopefully stop?!?!

What have I brought today then ....

A black cardigan from Topshop, it was from the "delicates" section, which Ive never heard of, but may explain why its so thin.. It was 10pound in the sale section.
I also got a box for all my make up, I have so much! Im going to blog about my favorite make up products later on.
I also got some shoes from primark, they are light cream, snakeskin effect, small pumps. Size 7. They were 5 quid something because of the VAT cut, instead of 6.
